Meridian Library District
The purpose of redesigning the Meridian Library District website is to optimize the user experience and interface to better serve the local community. Usability testing revealed that the previous website failed to meet key user needs. There were pervasive issues with site performance, findability of key information architectures, and overall accessibility. My prototype iterates on the existing design through bold interaction patterns, simplified content hierarchies, and responsive visual design. Leveraging the brand's color palette, I crafted refined flows to spotlight core services like the online audiobook collection. The result is an intuitive, inclusive experience centered on community needs. Core UX enhancements include: + Streamlined information architecture for improved findability + Accessible and mobile-responsive interface + User-tested workflows for account signup & search The goal was to transform the website into an accessible, community-focused platform optimized for usability. Through user-centered design thinking, the reimagined experience provides an engaging and responsive digital front door for the Meridian Library District.
